Wheel bearing went out on a SMV 25 gallon tow sprayer. Bought 2 Hillman bearings at a box store and 2 Oregon from Amazon for spares. Turned out all 4 wheel bearings on sprayer were going bad so a good opportunity to compare.The Oregon bearings are heavier (45 grams) vs the competition (40 grams); this is a significant difference in an item this small. The Oregon inner race turns with a little more resistance and minimal play. The Hillman turns easier but there is markedly more play; looseness in a bearing is not good. The Oregon bearing fit snugly into the wheel hub with hand/thumb pressure. The competition needed to be driven in by hammer with a socket on the flange.Pros: Solid, well constructed, good finish, minimal play.Cons: No good method for putting additional lubricant in this type of bearing so it will fail, but competition has the same design. These are cheap enough to keep some spares.Buy Again? Yes, I'm buying 4 more as spares in anticipation that the competitor bearings will go out in a year or so.
