I am very pleased with these plants protectors. I've found they're versatile in their functionality and well made. I've used these to protect the integrity of plant stems from damage caused by my boisterous dog playing and zoomies and also footballs from rolling into the plants. I've recently planted a number of saplings and less established plants that need the protection and these really offer that. In addition, I can see how well they would be at protecting plants and vegetables from birds and other pests. It can also serve as a strong and rigid structure to cover in frost protection sheets or smaller netting to protect plants from slugs and snails.I like the versatility these offer in terms of shapes to build too. It allows me to use these in a number of different situations and also to change the structure as the plants mature.The open design allows for close inspection and also makes watering the plants simple.The kit is manufactured to a good standard. I reckon all the components will cope well with weathering. If after a few seasons they show any deterioration I will update this review.

These are charming Victorian style wire cloches which look really nice in the garden but also perform a useful function. They can help keep wild animals off tender crops and freshly sown seed. They can also be used as plant supports, this is especially effective as each cloche can be taken apart into 3 sections, the wide base, the middle and the domed top. Together they form a bell cloche shape which is very traditional looking and wouldn’t look out of place in an old walled garden.Plastic tie wraps are supplied to hold the parts together. This is plastic waste and it’s a shame they can’t lock together without that. I think I’ll use short bits of recycled twine to hold them together for aesthetic and environmental reasons. They also come with some pins to hold in place and labels so a well thought out package. Very nice.

Whilst some say these are a little fiddly because the three sections of each have to be cable tied, I really rather do like these. I bought some others, slightly smaller elsewhere, and these are each in 2 sections which need to be clipped together so there's no flexibility for increased height or width once a plant outgrows the growing area. However, the modular nature of these will allow one to protect plants as they grown, in 3 stages and in so doing increase both the height and width growing areas whilst still affording protection. These are coated too and on the whole I believe that this may help delay the effects of corrosion but, unfortunately, as these were stacked in storage at the suppliers and then again at mine, the coating has come off and will, no doubt, continue to do so BUT if they last 2-3 years without looking to corroded, I'll be pleased.
