Excellent produit pour utiliser les entrées XLR de mon ampli de puissance. Seule inquiétude la trappe de l'entrée optique s'est cassée à la première utilisation et pourtant la connectique était dans le bon sens.J'ai inséré la prise avec un claquet récupéré sur un appareil hors de fonction et la prise est bien "clipsé".Dommage pour cette mésaventure car je suis content de tous les autres éléments Tangent de cette gamme

I like this unit a lot. It's very well thought out for people like me who only want a minimalist preamp to connect two, three or four sources with a sub and a stonking power amp and be able to switch between the sources and operate the volume remotely. I don't need or particularly want yet another badly designed phone app or a visual display like Blackpool illuminations.So, I have it rigged up to a recently acquired s/h Parasound 275 power amp connected to a pair of s/h KEF Carlton III speakers, also acquired recently. I connected my android tv via TOSlink, and my turntable with AudioQuest Big Sur interconnects.My turntable is a s/h Akai BT 500, which has its own internal phono amp which can be switched on, or off and the signal passed thru to an external phono stage. I was previously using it with an IFI ZEN external phono stage into a pair of active loudspeakers.The Tangent has a phono stage which can be switched on or off on the RCA input. A switch at the back changes the RCA from a line input to a phono stage input. So, I had three turntable permutations available to me: turntable internal phono preamp to Tangent RCA line input, turntable direct to external IFI ZEN phono preamp to Tangent RCA line input, and turntable direct to Tangent RCA phono input.I tried all three. All worked brilliantly well. The detail, speed, soundstage and dynamics are breathtaking. Absolutely astonishing. I've never even heard CD's sound this good in my life, let alone vinyl. The Tangent phono stage isn't quite as good as the other two. It's good in itself and not far off the other two but has a very slightly rolled off or closed in treble compared to the other set ups but I could happily live with the Tangent's phono input if I didn't have the other two options though.All the different inputs and switching work as they should. Interestingly I tried the Yamaha WXC-50 before this and had to return it as it simply could not read the PCM signal from my android tv. The Tangent has no problem reading this at all and sounds fantastic, very clear with plenty of stereo separation.In fact, I get good, natural-sounding spatial effects from my tv with the Tangent by utilizing judicious amounts of my android tv's internal DSP options. It's a bit of a no brainer if you don't have the money, space or inclination for a full home cinema set up.If you have a smart tv, smart phone and a decent pc on the same network and you throw Roon and/or Qobuz etc into the mix, the design decision not to include an app with the Tangent (or an LCD front panel for that matter) makes a lot of sense as it allows the designers to keep the costs down and concentrate on the core features.All in all, this is one surprisingly good sounding preamp with a sensible connection and feature set for an amazingly good price.
