A great fillet mat to keep the fish in place while processing the meat. It stays in place, and I love that it has a mini chopping board!

This fillet mat was a lot bigger than I was expecting, and heavier too. Stays in place while filleting fish. The only real thing I didn't understand was the inclusion of the wooden trivet. I left it at home and use it as an oversized coaster and just take the mat when I go fishing. I leave it in the truck and take it out at the end of the trip. Easy to wash off.

This is my second mat of this type and I will always have one from here on out. Keep one in the truck and boat now. Just makes cleaning fish so much easier at the dock. I just don't like the cleaning stations and how dirty they are usually. This solves that problem and no more slippery fish when cleaning. Great price!

This mat is awesome. A kitchen accessory i didn't know i needed! My kids and i usually catch our dinner once a week and this fillet mat is truly a game changer. I have used both a wooden block cutting board and a plastic board and after 2 fish they get pretty slimy and need wiped off. With this mat, i can fillet all of our fish without needing to rinse the mat in between. It does a fantastic job at keeping my fish from slipping around while i am trying to fillet them. And it is big enough to fit our bigger catches without overlapping. Makes my prep easier. Very happy to have this on hand and am recommending to all of my friends who fish!

I’ve been using this product primarily for processing chicken, and it’s been excellent for the job. I needed something larger than a standard cutting board to prep meat, and this fits the bill perfectly. I process my own chicken, and while I liked using a large cutting board, the smooth surface made it hard to keep the meat from slipping. This mat solves that problem with its raised ridges and nubs that grip the meat and keep it steady, making it much easier to cut slippery pieces.It also comes with a small wooden cutting board, possibly meant as a base for cutting so the mat isn't sliced, but I don’t use it for that. Still, it looks like a nice little circular cutting board. Another benefit is how well it contains seasoning when I’m prepping meat, which helps keep my countertops clean.Initially, I was concerned about cleaning it, especially with the textured surface. However, since I use it exclusively for raw meats, it’s not a major issue. Sponges can get torn up by the ridges, so I use a dish brush to scrub between them, which works really well. After cleaning, there’s no residue left behind.The only minor downside is that it’s too large to wash in a standard sink all at once. I fold it and wash it in sections, which isn’t ideal, but it works fine for my needs. Overall, it’s been a great addition to my kitchen setup.
