These are a pair of rough and ready proportional dividers. Made in India and look like it, not well finished, brass is quite rough and several of the points need filing down for safety. Leather case is not leather at all and is similarly pretty cheap and tacky, possibly should have paid a couple of pounds more for the wooden box.That said they do the job, which for me is enlarging and/or reducing reference photographs for line and wash work. For just under £20 I guess you couldn’t expect much more.UPDATE: So poorly made I returned them. Went instead for the dividers in a wooden box which looked exactly the same but had a much better finish.

What a lovely surprise, looks like it was made in a machine shop, absolutely solid and I expect it to last a lifetime.
