I don't think I have used these before, but plasterboard fixings of this type have been around for years. This set comes in a reusable plastic case, and together with the twelve single-size toggles you get a 16mm twist drill bit, a little magnetic spirit level, some washers and a rubber concertina funnel device, intended to catch the dust from drilling. To start with the latter, it needs to be placed on the bit before mounting in the drill, because this bit has a reduced shank. I found it a bit too short to catch the dust. It can be teased out a little, having been squashed to fit it in the box, but it still doesn't really work very well.I tried the fixings with a garage hook in some spare plasterboard, so that I could see the back. This plasterboard has an insulation layer on the back, which is not strong enough to support the toggle, but it will sink into the foam until it hits the back of the plasterboard. The screws are long, and there needs to be sufficient clearance behind the plasterboard. The screws could be cut down, but it's not very practical. Since the heads of the screws are not large, even with the supplied washers, I used the smaller of the holes in the hook's backplate. This caused an issue with the large hole in the 'wall' being exposed when the hook was fixed. The first toggle didn't spring open correctly when pushed through the hole. I think this can be avoided by making sure the screw is far enough through the toggle to prevent it tilting. You won't get a second chance with these fixings, because the toggle can't be removed, and will be lost if you try to remove the screw (possible not the case if it has sunk into the insulation. I used the larger hole at the bottom of the plate to try to conceal the clearance hole better. To assemble the toggle in the backplate, I needed to loosen the first screw. As the screw heads are smaller than the toggles, these fixings can't be inserted through the holes in the item to be fixed. These toggle fixings can be much stronger and more failproof than anything that screws into the plasterboard. But they make large holes, are fiddly to use, and can't be reused. These are plated rather than stainless steel, and the kit costs £19.99.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Top-Notch Fixing Kit That Actually WorksAfter battling with countless wall anchors, this kit's brilliant. The M5 spring toggles are proper sturdy - my 43" TV hasn't budged. The included 16mm drill bit is spot-on, and the dust collector kept things remarkably tidy. Love the magnetic spirit level for perfect alignment. For the price, it's professional-grade kit that would cost a fair bit more at the DIY store. Already ordered another!"

These are clunky, but they are effective at hanging heavier objects on plasterboard where you wouldn't trust a plug. The screws are very long, so you will need a deep void behind your plasterboard to use them, so it will be worth doing a depth check, 1) to see the depth of the void and 2) to see if you've got a single or double layer of board. The drill holes need to be very large for a wall, which is enough to put some people off who don't want to be putting 16mm holes in their walls, but with these types of fixings it is required.

As a DIY enthusiast, I'm impressed with these toggle fixings. The standout feature? That clever dust collector! Made drilling for my TV mount so much cleaner - no more dust shower all over my furniture. The fixings are seriously robust; after seeing how solid the TV mount was, I immediately used a couple more for a heavy floating shelf in my kitchen.Really pleased with the quality and the complete kit approach.Perfect for anyone tackling wall-mounting projects!"
