I'm not really sure exactly what this bottle is intended for. I can think of 3 possible uses.To shake up protein drinks made up from powder, the strainer in the lid would act to break up lumps and further agitate the mixing process.To make smoothies and milk shakes without a blender.As a modern take on the cocktail shaker where the strainer would hold back the ice and any other solids.Or maybe all three.What it isn't good for is keeping drinks either hot or cold. It's only single skinned, it lacks any insulation. Indeed a drink made using hot or boiling water would be impossible to hold with a bare hand.The capped spout in the lid is also a bit ambiguous. Plenty of room for a straw once you've removed the strainer. You could drink straight from it or you could just use it as a pouring spout to dispense the contents into a cup or glass.It's a pity the handle is hard moulded with the rest of the lid rather than hinged.Maybe it is intended more as rock band memorabilia rather than a practical drinks bottle?

I have to admit I already have a protein shaker bottle but when i saw this one, with the Motorhead branding, I had to order it. You could pretty much stick the Motorhead logo on anything and I'd probably not be able to restrain myself. The logo is very nicely done too. It looks great against the matte black background.As a protein shaker it works very well. The stainless steel material is a bit more premium than my old plastic shaker that I have. It's not insulated but obviously you wouldn't use this for hot drinks. Who would think of having a hot protein shake? The lid fits securely and I haven't had any problems with leakage when shaking. The "mixer net" does a good job of getting a lump free protein shake.Overall I'm very happy with this protein shaker bottle. As a Motorhead fan I think it looks great. As a protein shaker it works well too.

This is a lightweight shaker with a silicone coating that gives it a smooth and silky texture. It's very nice to hold.It's a single skin so despite being made from stainless steel this isn't going to preserve the temperature of whatever you put in.The lid has a rubberised exterior which is great for providing grip when screwing the lid closed. The interior has a removable plastic mesh insert for breaking up power and preventing the chunks from getting through. I found this to be reasonably good but with Huel I still found a lot of smaller chunks not being mixed and and getting through to my mouth. I threw in a small plastic mixing ball which seemed to help.The cap for the mouthpiece is pretty sturdy but easy enough to flick off when needed, and it has a catch of some kind to hold it open when you fold it all the way back for drinking. I really like this as other bottles tend to have loose caps that fall down and conk me on the nose if I forget to hold them open when I drink.My only real issue with this is something that can't really be helped if you want that smooth silicone coating...it's fairly easy to start scratching up that lovely smooth surface which is a big shame.Otherwise I highly recommend this bottle though, if like me you can be a bit fussy with making sure your powder is properly broken up you might want to throw in a plastic mixing ball.
