The Sougayilang rod is just as described. Have not fished yet, but is light and like the handle. My wife commented positively about the colors. The medium light action seems to be spot on. Will update if needed after fishing with it. Got this to fish micro crank baits. The 6.5 feet from Amazon specs is correct and will hopefully give the needed length to cast 1/16th oz. lures even though it is rated for 1/8 and up.Arrived on time.Own two Sougayilang rods and they perform very well.Own 8 Sougayilang spinning reels and they are smooth, good drag, and the extra spoils are great, which is rare with reels these days.Happy so far.Update after fishingThe rod performs great.Fished tight lining for some bull bream at Woods Reservoir. The rod is sensitive. Could detect the lightest bites and handled 4lb. Vicious hi vis panfish line great, even lifting the bream up to the pier.The 6.5ft length is closer to 6ft. But no problem.Great purchase and would buy again.

When one of my kids recently broke my go-to 6' rod, of course I went to Amazon for a replacement. When I saw this one by Sougayilang, I didn't hesitate to give it a try. I've been really happy with the 7' rod I got from them this spring, and I was happy to add another of theirs to my collection.One thing to note about both of these is that the line guides get really small at the tip. A number of my other rods will let me slide a small swivel hook through the last guide, but not these.The hook keeper near the handle is always convenient to have. One thing I didn't notice at first about the hook keeper on this rod, however, is that it's actually hinged. I think this will make it easier to hook onto when I have lures of different sizes, and it's also a wire loop, pointing toward the tip, rather than a solid bit pointing toward the handle. All of that should make it easier to use and less likely to get snagged on something by accident and get broken.Flexibility and responsiveness is great, and I like the bright "camo" pattern on the handle. I'm looking forward to putting this to use right after Christmas!
