Speedo is the way to go, as far as I'm concerned, when it comes to swimwear. But even within this one brand and even within this one style—jammers—there are quite a few differences among Speedo's product offerings. Some of this has to do with fabric. This may seem odd since swimsuit fabrics are just some form or other, or a blend, of polyester. But it's not as simple as that. Speedo has Endurance+, ProLT, and PowerFlex—there are others, but these three are the most common. Of these, Endurance+ lasts the longest but it is also on the heavy side and is not so smooth. On the other hand, PowerFlex feels really, really good to wear. It's a bit lighter and is so smooth it just slides right onto your skin. It conforms to your movements so well that it feels like, pardon the trite expression, you're wearing nothing.A couple of tips. First, wash by hand and rinse thoroughly after each use. Your jammers will last longer if they're free from chlorine. Do not wring out excess water; instead, roll up in a towel and squeeze without twisting. Second, if you want that second-skin feel of PowerFlex, pick the correct size by consulting the size chart. Do not size up like most guys. Just don't. Jammers are supposed to be tight. If you are shy or squeamish about showing, ehem, contours then just stick to swim shorts. Jammers are not for you.
