I agree with everyone else's reviews that these run small. My son is a skinny 56" 50lb 8-year-old, and even buying the 9-10 size it was still snug (what I would expect from the 7-8 size), but don't let that put you off. Order up a size and you will get the most perfect pair of dance briefs for your son. It drives me insane that during routines esp. acro or contemporary, he always has to shift his underwear, these briefs stopped that completely. The fit perfectly to prevent the fabric riding up, they are well made and look great under all his costumes including tights.

I bought the Youth Boys Full Seat Dance Belt Brief for my child, and it has been incredibly effective. The fit is secure and provides the perfect level of privacy, creating a smooth and flat appearance without any seams showing. My kids reports that they are comfortable.The only downside is that it’s a bit pricey, so we’ll need to shop around for more affordable options as kids grow quickly. Still, this is a fantastic product, and I recommend it

Positives - nice full coverage seat, soft material, great quality, good padded coverage in the front for modesty when wearing white tights, seamless look at seat. Our only negatives are about sizing and cut. I have a pretty average sized 10 year old. He’s fit and dances 4 days a week for several hours. We ordered the biggest available size, 11/12, and these were very snug in the waist. Like uncomfortably tight. The were also really short in the crotch - like they sat too low because he couldn’t pull them up any higher, meaning they didn’t line up with the waist of his tights and created a strange line at the hip. So definitely order up and understand that these are for itty bitty boys.

My son is 9 and just started ballet. Part of the dress code is leggings, so I ordered this to go under them. He reported these made him much more comfortable in the tight leggings. They looked super small but fit him well.
