Pretty straight forward on the install. I could have put the vent tubes holder back on if it had been in the instructions. Tried to back the nut back out but it was too late, the nut wasn't coming back out. No big deal only a minor issue. I did my first oil change before installation so I do not know how it's going to go. Definitely there is protection now. The stock plastic protection was nothing, just for looks mostly.

If you actually use your bike off road don't plan on this one lasting very long. It works just like described, to protect your engine from "flying" debris. As a bash plate it is very sub par for anything other than maybe small logs and such. Up here in coal country where most trails are covered in rocks it's almost useless. Mines already falling apart and has been easily bent from just the haul roads. I'll most likely end up making on myself or possibly trying the Enduro Guardian.
