I really enjoyed This Book and am grateful for the insight into how political debate so deeply impacts people on such a personal level. It was also fascinating to read how a mind on the autistic spectrum works and how difficult it can be to navigate the day to day. All that while being really easy to read and of course the consistent emotional relief Gadsby provides with her comedic skills throughout the book.I really appreciated Nanette, but I love this book!Absolutely recommend it!

The best read all year. This book takes you on a journey through homophobia, acceptance, development, mental health and autism (it could be my life). After watching Nanette I had so many questions. This memoir explains the answers and gives so much more. I cried tears of sadness, but also joy and laughed out loud many times. I thoroughly recommend this book, even if you haven't seen Nanette. Can't wait to see her on tour.

Ein Blick auf die Welt aus einer Randgruppenperspektive – lange überfällig. Themen: Homosexulatität, Autismus, Übergewicht ... und viel mehr. Ein absolutes Muss für alle Priviligierten, die was dazu lernen wollen ;)

I love Hannah Gadsby's comedy, and reading autobiographies, so naturally I jumped on this book as soon as it was available. I couldn't put it down (thanks for the late nights, haha!)I was especially interested in how she navigated life prior to her ADHD and ASD diagnoses, as some of my friends and a family member have recently been assessed, and there appears to be more awareness now of these conditions. It's heartbreaking how much people have suffered before getting answers, and I'm astounded by Gadsby's resilience through these hardships, but also her modesty in her success.Her story really hits you in the feels, and I laughed out loud a few times. I really enjoyed this.I throughly recommend this book to... well, everybody. Read it!
