Exactly as described. I bought it after watching a YouTube video recommended this rod as a budget rod that matched quality with more expensive brands.I've never used a tenkara rod before, so I don't know about that, but it's beautiful. Came exactly as the listing shows with a really sturdy case.I went to play with it today and caught a few little perch - first time catching anything on a fly! I switched up and used a mini trout magnet, and it caught with that too.I'd definitely recommend this kit for anyone looking to try tenkara.

Received my Aventik IM12 Nano 10’8” Tenkara rod quickly and it was packaged well. My cousin is an avid fly fisherman and recommended another brand that was more than twice the price. I’m more of a pond and over grown creek kind of fisherman and don't have much use for a fly rod. Or should I say haven’t had!I purchased this pole for a backpacking trip to Colorado that’s still a month away. I wanted to test it out so went to the pond on our family’s back 40. Caught the first bream within 30 seconds!!! Then 30 seconds later I got caught in a tree and lost my fly. After pulling out the chainsaw and trimming limbs, I was back at it and immediately catching fish again. Overall, I landed two bass and 4 bream and missed 2 more. I had an absolute blast!I have been fly fishing before, but this is a little different and takes just a minute to get used to so as not to be tangled up in the line. I added about 5 feet of 30 pound test spider wire to the end. It’s about the same thicknesses as 4 pound test. The line that comes with the package is so small I just didn’t trust it. I did use it at first when I lost that first fly, and I like the way the spider wire stretched out the cast better.I can’t speak to durability yet, but I’m pleased thus far and can’t wait for my trip to Colorado. If I’m further impressed or find myself upset by the results of my trip, I’ll be back to update the review. As of right now, I’ll give you the full five stars and highly recommend for some quick action and a lot of fun!

I love every aspect of this Rod. It is very well engineered and versatile. Many of my friends have checked this rod out and now have one or two at that price!

Fly caught on water weed. A slight flick to free it and the rod snapped at the 4th section.Disappointing!

It's to long most places I fish I order 6' one use the 10' on big river and shorter rod on small creeks.Other than that well worth the money nice metal tube and sock extra tips.
