Works great as a quick solution. Obviously never going to be as good as an IR flood light, which I also bought, plus it is triple the cost of a flood light. However the ease of adding to your camera which also supplies the power is great. The only downside and this is an issue of the concept not the product is that it illumates rain immediately infront of the camera aiding in false notifications. Thus would not happen if the light source (stand-alone) was used..

Un peu cher à mon gout (plus de la moitié du prix de la caméra), mais très efficace. Augmente la portée de l'éclairage IR de plusieurs mètres.

This product works wonders for the night vision capability of your Ubiquiti G3 camera.I have the camera located on the soffit of the back porch looking down upon my pool currently under construction. Distance from the camera to the fence is approximately 50 feet.Prior to the installation of the LED IR Range extender while you could make out the fence, there could be someone or something in front of the fence undetected. The IR Extender clearly lights up the area more.Installation can be performed while the camera is mounted (if you can reach it) and turned on. Removal of the factory installed sun visor is necessary and pulls out. I struggled to pull mine out in fear of breaking something. It simply does pull straight out from the camera. The IR Extender slides into the place the sun visor previously sat while plugging into the external power port on the underside of the camera. A very small cross tip screwdriver is requires to tight two screws to hold it in place although it felt as if it would have stayed in place without tightening the screws. The last step of the installation is within the NVR software or the camera UI itself by turning on the external device.While I must say this product works great, it does also point out a deficiency of the G3 camera. Other cameras on the market do not require an extender while providing sufficient coverage.
