Installed on my Toyota Tundra. I like the adjustable height. I use mine to haul kayaks and misc. long material. The only downside that I have is the assembly directions are not very user friendly.

Before purchasing this rack system I did a lot of research. I even reached out to the manufacture to see if the racks would be compatible with my 2024 Ford Ranger. Vevor assured me they were. Well the bolts provided for the clamps were too short for me to get a solid grip on my bed rail. I ended up purchasing 80mm bolts, that worked perfectly. To insure the bolts were locked down tight I also purchased nuts to act as a double safety feature. The overall assembly of the crossbars and uprights went well. Though I did the entire install myself, I would recommend having an assistant to speed up the entire assembly and installation process. These are definitely solid racks and I would definitely recommend. Just be prepared to possibly modify some of the provided parts.

We purchased in order to mount "J" Bars and haul kayaks. The installation went alright, a bit difficult when building the top cross bar and getting them mounted, but we got through it. Looks like we'll be able to mount "J" bars (bought separately) and will not have to extend the rack from it's base height at all and it will be tall enough on our Ranger for kayaks to ride. One screw on the top bar came out and was lost so we had to order extra screws as the system didn't come with extra's. We ordered screws from amazon ( M8-1.25x10mm Button Head Socket Cap Screws - 20Pack -$7.10).

This item is easy to assemble, sturdy, and the fit and finish is very good. Considering this rack is about 1/2 the price of some competing adjustable height racks, this is a great buy. The packaging was well thought out and the components were well insulated from rubbing - and double boxed for protection. When assembling a generously tolerance item, such as this, one must remember to leave mating attachments loose until all related components are lined up and all threaded fasteners started into the proper mating component, bracket, etc. before final tightening. Otherwise, alignments can seem astray and give false impressions. People with basic assembly experience will have no trouble ...and there are some good assembly videos out there to help those less mechanically inclined.

The rack came packaged like an Ikea furniture piece. Had exactly everything listed for parts. Instructions aren’t the best, but make sense after flipping back and forth between pages showing assembly and page showing which part goes where. Seems they could have just labeled the parts on the assembly pages. Regardless, you really couldn’t put it together wrong, it might just take longer realizing what fits where and what doesn’t.I was disappointed that I had to drill out a couple of holes to get the nuts and threaded receivers to line up for the bar center assembly. But I’m assuming that anyone buying this product has a cordless drill and bits handy. The actual drilling was quite easy.Once I was able to get everything lined up, the real challenge was trying to get the posts put together with the crossbars, so the angles were correct (not binding or torquing out of shape) and tighten everything down so the cross bars are level and the side overhangs were reasonably symmetrical. The clamps work great, but that issue with getting all the angles right after everything is connected impacts if the post feet are sitting flat on the rails so you can secure the clamps. In the end it’s fine and does exactly what I wanted it for. I just wish I could have assembled and installed it in the hour or less I was expecting, based on the apparent simplicity of design; instead of the afternoon I lost making little adjustments to get it to fit and function properly.SUGGESTION: If the set post length version is good for you, go that way. I liked the idea that I could adjust the height with the variable length version; but no way am I going to mess with that again. It’ll go on and off with clamps, and stored as assembled when not in use.
