This is perfect for moving around hot coals and cleaning up after the coals cool down. Nice size, happens to fit right under my grill. Bonus is that I can use it to reach into the grill grate to move them around while they're hot.

I'm posting this review to dispute the numerous complaints about the edge sharpness (upon receipt I immediately checked); I have No problems with sharp edges. Maybe enough folks complained that Weber listened/ corrected it.

Like you I used tongs to relocate coals.But tongs are for food - and they go one by one anyway.If you’ve committed to charcoal grillling more than once a season, you will be happy to use this rake.It is stainless steel, so it’s going to last.Length is great.Leather loop is useful to hang on a hook.I was working on a nice ribeye and relocated coals north and south after searing.What a hassle that would have been with tongs.Use your gloves - of course you know that.Recommended confidently without reservations.
