Been running a couple of these for a few months now - so far no issues. Packaged very well in the box. I don't expect them to last forever, but for the price, these are hard to beat. Other similar Hitachi drives I own are still running fine after 95,000+ power-on hours

Drive died two weeks after limited warranty period. My 4GB HGST drive is still kicking, albeit with sector errors. 10GB has the click of death. I barely accessed the drive, I just used it for cold storage. I expected better.

SMART metrics do not seem to have been cleared at all in an effort to make the drives look newer than they are. All three drives passed all long tests in HDTune and the initialization in my Synology. Have been running for many months no with no issues. Mine were ordered and shipped by GoHardDrive. I've had quite a number of drives from them going back to around 2015/16 with similar results.

Note this drive comes not formatted and has unallocated sections. Crystal disk showed it had 48,000 hours and was still in good health. Once I formatted the drive it is working great. Under heavy use you can hear the head move but according to other reviews this seams to be normal for this drive. It runs about 10C cooler than my other drives approx 35C even under heavy use.

I bought 3 of these and they came quickly. Each drive had nearly 48,000 hours on them and a similar power on count. Smart data was good across the board. Did a surface scan with WinDFT (HGST drive tool) with no errors. Each test took almost a day and would not complete on a USB drive adapter but worked fine when I temp installed them on my windows machine. This took 3 days! They are now installed in a truenas system RaidZ2 and running well. Not hot. They are a little noisey but I think thats inherit in these drives. No clicking or other odd noises. I'm a bit leary due to the hours, I may buy another one as a backup.. They have been running for about a week no with no issues.
