Installé sur un serveur Synology 218, en backup d'un autre disque identique, il ne fonctionne déjà plus. il a été reconnu par le système synology, puis au au moment de la mise à jour des donnée depuis l'autre disque il est tombé en erreur, et panne totale. Le serveur Synology ne veut plus le prendre en compte (initialisation)

I've had great luck with Western Digital drives so I purchased a DX4000 just over 6 years ago. The unit ran flawlessly 24/7 until last week when I received an email from the server telling me that one of the drives had failed. Naturally I got online to find a replacement drive and was frustrated by the lack of available drives. It would seem that most, if not all, of the supported drives have either been discontinued or are unavailable.I found this drive as a possible replacement but was discouraged by other reviews saying that the drive was incompatible with the DX4000. After a little research, however, I discovered how Western Digital restricts which drives will work in the unit. Since there really is no reason that the DX4000 can't support just about any drive from a hardware perspective I figured it must be a software restriction. On my DX4000 there are two configuration files that list compatible drives:C:Program FilesWestern DigitalWestern Digital System ConfigSystemConfig.xmlC:Program FilesWestern DigitalWD Storage Providerwhitelist.xmlThe drive I received from Amazon was the WD3000F9YZ-09N20L1 which was not listed in either file. I simply edited the files in Notepad by duplicating the existing WD3000F9YZ-09N20L0 entries and changing the 09N20L0 to 09N20L1 in the newly created entries. I shut down the server, replaced the damaged drive with the new drive, and powered the server back up. After booting back up it took about 30 seconds before the display read "REPAIRING 0.00%". 12 hours later and the system is running without issue.I would caution you against making any changes unless you are familiar with configuration files and feel comfortable making changes. I imagine if you really mess up the file you could render the DX4000 unusable without a software reinstall. But I hope this helps some of you looking for replacement drives for your DX4000.It's good to know that I have the option of using other drives in the future. With any luck I won't have to worry about it for another 6 or 7 years.

I bought these to replace my 2 failed seagate 3TB drives in my 5 bay NAS (QNAP). Admittedly the 2 seagate drives were the first 2 drives I bought and were not really designed for a NAS setup.This is why I was looking for the most cost effective replacements that are suitable for a NAS. Based on other reviews the WD SE 3TB fit the bill. I put them into the NAS, it recognised them and rebuilt the raid array without any problems.

tempi di consegna abbastanza brevi.su qnap ts 870 pro non mi hanno dato problemi.costo in linea con altri prodotti simili

Wenn man 4 Festplatten mit je 3TB betreibt, ist das Restrisiko heutzutage erreicht.Hat Ihr Rechner schon mal die Meldung gebracht: ‚Der Dateiname ist zu lang… und Datei kann nicht kopiert werden?‘ Risiko kostenlos überprüfen mit ‚ Acronis Drive Monitor ‘ auf Chip.de.Festplatte liefert im Schnitt 160 MB/sec. ab.Nicht aus dem Pc Gehäuse heraus hörbar.5 Jahre Garantie.Kann 24 Stunden am Tag unter Volllast betrieben werden.Siehe Kundenbild oben. Für die Festplatte wurden im Sep.2013 rund 180 € aufgerufen.Festplatten kann man recht gut suchen über den Heise Preisvergleich (heise.de und preisvergleich) und Filter wählen. Und hier kaufen;)Wer viele Fotoschätze hat (Urlaube, Ausflüge, Häuser, Kinderfotos usw.), sollte sich eine ‚Enterprise‘ Festplatte zulegen (und Datensicherung betreiben. D.h. die Daten 3 x haben. 1 x live, 1 x Sicherung, 1 x Jahressicherung im Keller).
