These work great! We use sardines often and sometimes we have leftovers. I used to store them in foil or a ziplock but it didn't seem to stay fresh. These lids help to keep the smells of the fridge out and keep my fridge from smelling like sardines! The lips secure tight and they even fit a dented can just fine. No spillage so far but these aren't meant to be shaken around. Cleaning is simple, so far the sardine smell hasn't stayed in the silicone which I was affraid of. To be fair I've only store sardines for about 2 days at a time so far.

These are great if you aren't looking to eat an entire can of sardines in one sitting - while rare in my home, but also beneficial when you don't want your cat to eat the entire can in one sitting.

I didn't know these existed. For over 10 years I've been putting the open cans in ziploc bags with oil spilling inside. Those days are over! I'm so happy. These fit the Wild Planet sardine cans perfectly. They were easy to put on the open can. Just a tiny bit messy opening for the first time as there was still runny oil in the lid. When I open the next can, I'll put it in the fridge first to let the oil harden a bit before putting the lid on. I hope Costco keeps selling WP sardines so I don't have to go back to the ziploc. What a find!

Perfect for standard sardine cans. If you have ever accidently dumped a partial can of sardines in your refrigerator, you will instantly recognize the value of this nifty well fitting lid.
