- Review for Wound & Skin Repair Powder For Dogs | Dog Styptic Powder Stops Bleeding, Quickly Repairs Wound & Damaged Skin in Dogs | Pets Safe Treatment for Cuts, Nail Clipper Nicks and Grooming First Aid -I first came across Styptic powder in a pet first aid kit and was amazed that such a thing exists (and that I did not know about it!). The kit only included a very limited amount in liquid form, so I jumped at the opportunity to try out this tub of powder.I was surprised to find it wasn't sealed; this makes me wary, especially when it comes to medical products. It is a small UK business though, which does bring some reassurance that it is what it claims to be! Aside from that, I am very happy with it.It is easy to use and stems bleeding almost instantly. It does sting a tiny bit, but you only have to dab it on once or twice for it to work. I have two cats and a dog, and it's such a godsend being able to quickly stop bleeding so you can properly clean and assess a paw scrape. And bonus - no more tiny red paw prints traipsed around the house! It's inexpensive, and this is a generously sized pot which I imagine will last years.Styptic powder is an essential for any first aid kit - animal or human alike. Highly recommended.

I have an excessively happy spaniel who regularly splits the tip of her tail with wagging it just too much, I've been finding this wound powder is really handy to put on the wound and reduce the risk of an infection because amputating tails on adult dogs isn't a straightforward operation and it's something I'd rather not have to put her through.Really good product and being such a large tub I can see it lasting for ages.
