Up until now, I thought the switch only had linear type, tactile and non-click. But this click switch makes a pleasant sound every time I press the keyboard. Of course, it's noisy to use in the office, but it seems like it plays a part in increasing the efficiency of work when you're working from home.

I bought a bunch of the Outemu Whites while they were on sale so I could use them in a $12 hotswap 75% keyboard I bought a couple years ago. Rather than spending a bunch of money on higher end switches like Boba Gums that are compatible with Outemu sockets, I figured I'd give these a try since it's a low budget keyboard.I'm not 100% sure if the white switches are in the same family of switches as the Gaote ones, but I've always assumed that to be the case. The Gaote switches tend to be scratchy, wobbly, and overall just an acceptable budget switch. However, lubing them, and even filming them can greatly improve how the feel and sound. The silent white switches are no different.After the lube and films were added they are smooth, solid, and pretty dang quiet. For the price (taking the sale/discount into consideration) I'd say they are now great. They are definitely quieter than the silent Gateron yellows I use in a different keyboard.I've also done a bit of tinkering with the springs in these. Using 80g dual stage springs they still sound great and feel good.

These switches are great. They hardly make any sound and the tactile bump is pretty smooth. Excellent value for the price. For comparison, I have the Outemu Silent Peaches (linear) in my other keyboard and those feel more mushy. I highly recommend these, especially for the office or late night work.

I have been using mech keyboards for several years, but have always used MX Brown or Clear so I was a bit hesitant going both linear AND silent.I was a bit afraid I would hate the non-tactileness and that it would feel "mushy".To my surprise I actually like them very much so far.They are a just a biiiiiiiit scratchy perhaps but nothing that bothers me really.The reason I went with these is because I'll be using my keyboard in an office environment where people might not be overjoyed to have clickity clacks in the background.I was not disappointed - they really are quiet. In fact my mech keyboard is now more quieter than my laptop keyboard.My MX reds are really loud in comparison.

After having tried about 10 different switch types (silver linear, mx brown, variety of blues, etc), I must say that this switch is simply the best of them all.As someone who prefers brown style switches, this beats the classic cherry MX brown.The pressure curve is much smoother and its easier to press down compared to MX browns which is an awesome typing experience.

The switch is linear so it's really smooth to press down, and It is absolute quiet as hell, and although I am an amazon vine member, these are switches that I would personally actually buy. For sure get these if you need something quiet and affordable.
