I keep a garden hose on our back patio. I used to just leave it coiled up on the ground, but this looked messy and was a trip hazard. I installed this on the edge of our patio and I've been super happy with it. It keeps my hose organized and off the ground. It's sturdy enough for the job and was easy to install. One small problem with this design is that if the ground gets soft and muddy from rain, this can flop over from the weight of the hose.Tip: If you want a more stable install, dig a small hole about the depth of the tines, put this in the hole and then fill the hole will gravel and tamp down with a 2x4. The gravel will hold the post in place and won't be affected by rain or muddy ground.

This is one of those products that you didn’t know you needed, til you have it. No more fighting with the hose on a holder that is too small, or awkward, or too close to the house. This can be positioned anywhere, so you’re not limited. The spot for the sprayer is very convenient. Very sturdy and easy to assemble.

I was tired of walking over garden hoses in the narrow space provided between homes nowadays, so I picked up this stand. I didn't want to screw anything to the house, so this was a perfect option. The pieces fit together well and are pretty stout. I was able to step on the spiked stand base and get it to go right into the ground. It's holding 2 full size hoses and one short hose wonderfully.Pros: Pretty solid. No chips in the powder coating. No bent pieces. Everything fits together well. Looks good Spikes went right into ground Holding more than 2 of my hoses without falling overCons: The directions only show one type of screw being used for hardware, although there are 3 types of screws, plus washers, nuts, and wall anchors all included in the hardware kit. It was pretty easy to figure out how to put it together though. (the small screws hold the pole together, the large screws/washers/nuts hold the rack to the top of the pole, and the remaining screws and wall anchors are if you want to attach the rack directly to the wall which I did not use).PS - careful that there isn't any conduit, electrical, irrigation, etc. underground where you are going to drive in the 6" base spikes.I would recommend this product to a friend as a good free-standing solution to organizing their garden hoses.Hope this helps you!

This detachable hose rack is made of excellent-quality steel with a good protective finish, ensuring it is rust-proof, weather-resistant, reliable, and long-lasting. The freestanding hose holder has three anchor points that keep it in place fairly well, and with it's lightweight design, it's easy to move to relocate it. (For a more permanent freestanding setup, four anchors would be ideal.) This hose shelf is great for use in any location, easy to setup within 5 minutes, and very convenient to move and store. And they also provide everything you need to mount it on a wall or any flat surface that can hold the weight of the rack and hose.I will be installing this at the front edge of my lower backyard deck to add a bit more support using a removable U-shaped clamp that will be fastened to my deck that can be wrapped around the post of the rack to provide some further long-term stability. I really like how this rack can be taken apart quickly for storage in the winter and that I can move it around my yard easily as needed. I am very pleased with the quality and design.NOTE: Be sure to put all the screws in by hand before using the included Allen key, and do not overtighten them. If you forcefully put the screws in when they are not lined up correctly or overtighten them, you can cause stripping, and the holes will be widened. Everything pieced together perfectly for me, and it is very sturdy once tightened, but I was careful not to force the screws, made sure they were lined up perfectly with the holes, and put them in by hand before using the tools to tighten them.UPDATE: The screws that come with this hose stand are not stainless or galvanized and have started to rust already. I will need to take them out to clean them with WD40 so the rods don't also rust (the screws might have removed some paint and exposed some metal in the rod holes during the fastening process). I may oil them as well or look around for replacement options. I am pretty disappointed with this and have adjusted my rating accordingly. There is nothing that prevents this product from functioning or would cost too much to find a solution for the screw, so I give it 2.5 now and decided to round it up on the star rating to a three.
