I had no idea how much difference this grinder could make. It quickly became a "thing" for me to wake up(I wake up very early) , fill up my grinder with quality coffee beans and hand grind it(takes like 1 minute). Smell the freshly grounded coffee and make a brew. The automated, everyday coffee making process turned into a special couple of minutes what I really enjoy thank to this little grinder. Ohh and the taste, wow... I highly recommend it.

I'm using the KINGrinder P1 as my secondary grinder at the office for my AeroPress and Ceado Hoop. I typically brew with the freshest beans I can find at the supermarket, usually darker roasts. The bottom line? This is a truly capable entry-level grinder—but there’s more to it!Build Quality & PortabilityThis grinder is noticeably smaller than my Hario or my home 1Zpresso. It's mostly plastic, making it lightweight and an excellent travel companion. However, the plastic build doesn’t inspire much confidence in durability—it looks like it could snap if dropped. That said, at just €39, I couldn’t care less. At this price point, I’m more than happy with it.Adjustability & PerformanceTuning the grind size is effortless, though it requires using a small internal adjustment bar. Interestingly, it works opposite to my 1Zpresso—higher numbers make the grind finer, not coarser. Dialing it in for my filters was quick, taking just three tries (and even the first two attempts weren’t bad).Grinding Experience & Coffee QualityGrinding time is fast, and the grind size appears consistent upon visual inspection. The resulting coffee is surprisingly sweet, as it should be. If you're interested in the science behind grind consistency, I highly recommend watching James Hoffmann’s detailed study on this topic—his review of this grinder is excellent.Final VerdictAn excellent purchase—my office coffee is now a delight. Whether you're considering this as your first grinder or a secondary one, look no further. This is a winner!

Straordinario.

What surprised me the most is that the same coffee genuinely tastes better than with my old and badly designed Hario Skerton. I thought it would just be more practical (Skerton is, among other things, terribly slow), but no.The only downside is that metal burr + plastic housing = lots of static electricity. You need to either spray your grains with water or stir them with a wet spoon before grinding to dissipate it, otherwise the bottom chamber and bottom of the burr will be covered with a layer of statically charged ground coffee.Hope it lasts long because for the price it's great.

I wanted a hand grinder for my Moka stovetop pot because I don’t drink enough coffee to get through a pack of ground coffee before it goes stale. And, for all its faults, I want to buy fair trade coffee, or speciality coffee from small producers. There is also a rather limited selection of coffees available in the medium-fine grind best suited to Moka pots. My other option would be to get a local coffee shop to grind small quantities for me.As I’m only making coffee for 1, this grinder is just fine. And the first cup of freshly ground I made with a dose of 16g of beans was very nice, the best coffee I’ve had in months. This is my first grinder of any sort and I bought it for £33 on the recommendation of James Hoffmann. It took a couple of months to come so be prepared to wait. If it's showing as Out of stock or Currently unavailable you will first have to revisit the product page occasionally until it shows as Temporarily unavailable, then you can backorder it (!). Hoffmann rates the grinder as very good value in terms of grind quality & coffee flavour compared with other much more expensive grinders, so for a beginner coffee buff like me it sounded ideal. The inside looks serious and the removable part of the burr is extremely sharp and mean looking. It feels well made.To set the grind size you turn the little dial on the bottom fully clockwise until it stops and then back off however many clicks you need. I started on 33 clicks (i.e. one full rotation plus 3) which was just a rough guess based on the manual on the manufacturer’s website. As my beans are dark roast (probably I prefer medium) I’ve now just tried 36 clicks for a slightly coarser grind in order to reduce the extraction and after 1 brew think I prefer this - it seems to give a fuller flavour. So far (after half a dozen cups) I’m extremely happy with this grinder.Cons: a small thing but the numbers on the adjustable dial count don’t start from zero and count down rather than up as you increase the grind sizeN.B. They say not to attempt to grind on less than 8 clicks.

I recently bought the Kingrind P1 manual coffee grinder. The grind consistency is spot-on and super easy to use. Plus, it's compact and looks great on my coffee counter. If you're a coffee lover like me, I absolutely recommend giving this grinder a try. It's perfect for getting that fresh, aromatic coffee every morning. Five stars!
