Nicht nur zum Anfertigen des bekannten schwedischen Symbols, des Dalapferds, findet das Modell Carving 106 aus dem Hause Mora of Sweden Verwendung.
Aufgrund seiner für ein Schnitzmesser ungewöhnlich langen Klinge aus laminiertem Carbonstahl, in Kombination mit einem Griff aus geölter Birke, kann das Messer durchaus auch als Freizeitmesser zum Einsatz kommen.
Die beiliegende Kunststoff-Köcherscheide kann dank der Schlaufe leicht am Gürtel befestigt werden.

I am very unhappy with this item. The first one was lost and the replacement one was received today and the blade has rust spots

Das Schnitzmesser ist von bester Qualität. Der Stahl ist wie handgeschmiedet, präzise geschliffen und standfest. Die Schärfe ist unglaublich gut. Man sollte auf der zweiten Hand einen Schutzhandschuh tragen. Ich werde mir weitere Messer dieses Herstellers kaufen.

Probabilmente uno dei migliori coltelli per l'intaglio del legno, perfetto pero lo spoon carving. I coltelli mora tanto semplici quanto pratici ed efficaci da utilizzare. Buon acciaio, affilato e facile da mantenere tale. Questo ha affiancato al verisione più corta che utilizzo per altri più minuti.

Zu einem Klassiker kann ich nur sagen, ich liebe dieses Messer. Das Messer liegt gut in der Hand, wird ab Werk super scharf geliefert. Das Preis- Leistungsverhältnis ist unschlagbar.

Sehr gute Messer, und sehr gut mir gefallen, liegt gut in Hand und ein Laminat-Klinge es ist etwas besondere... ich hoffe es ist rostfreie Stahl, oder? Ich weiß nicht, aber schneidet dieses Messer wie ein Gott… ja... wie ein Gott...

Handlich und scharf. Bei den ersten Nutzungen hält es auch seine Schärfe. Die Scheide ist etwas schmucklos aus Hartplaste. Aber sie ist funktional und hält das Messer gut (kein versehentliches Herausfallen)

Amazing carving knife. It arrived super sharp and ready to use.I've been using it for several hours a day, daily for over a week on kiln dried wood, dry wood and wood that's a few months old. I haven't needed to sharpen it at all and have been maintaining the razor sharp edge using a strop regularly.The handle is very comfortable and gippy. It's also great for different types of holds. I have no fear of my hand slipping onto the blade as that would mean I'm craving all wrong and using the knife inappropriately.The blade length is great for roughing out, doing cross bowl cuts on spoons, cups etc. And the narrow point is great for sharp turns and tight places.The sheath is nothing to write home about. It doesn't hold the knife very tight and it would likely fall out if I tipped it upside down. It does protect the blade though and keep it from going dull. I keep the knife in the sheath in a case with my other tools so right now it's not an issue. I do plan on modifiying it eventually or making a leather sheath for it. Just don't trust it when picking it up or moving it around.I did cause a very very tiny chip on it while carving kiln dried wood. But that was my fault from trying to carve off to much at once. That being said carving kiln dried wood is not the best use of this tool. This knife is better suited for green wood or wood that has been cut more recently. The spoon and butter knife in my picture were carved with the 106 and 120 on 5-6 month old birch. I had no issues and these knives performed wonderfully.This knife is an excellent carving tool and I would definitely recommend it.

Ich bin sehr zufrieden mit dem Schnitzmesser. Es liegt gut in der Hand und liefert einwandfreie Schnitzergebnisse. Ich habe es auch schon mit einem günstigeren Produkt versucht, aber das funktionierte nicht halb so gut wie mit diesem Messer. Ich kann es deshalb gerne weiter empfehlen.

Das Messer hat leider kleine Macken.....dennoch ein sehr gutes Messer. Könnte kein vergleichbares nennen, welches mit diesem Messer mithalten kann.

Mora blades are wonder quality and trust me just one Mora blade will be more valuable to you than a dozen cheaper ones. The steel is Superb quality and holds its sharpness for very long periods of time. No fancy handles just simple beech wood of a very simple design that is easy to hold. The handle feels great to hold with a nice balance when carving. Good quality tools also help keep the user safe, their sharpness cuts through the wood with less pressure required, which means the less force used, the less likely hood of slipping and getting getting hurt. Cheaper blades blunt quicker resulting in having to use more force, which results in the possibility of slipping and getting cut. In a nutshell Mora blades are great quality and good to carve with. They also help to cut down the chance of accidental injury.
